Streletsky Local History Museum
About museum
In 1980, through the efforts of Vladimir Nikolaevich Belolipetsky, an honored cultural worker, the Streletsky Local History Museum was established. Since 1995 it has been moved to a separate building constructed on the site of the Vasilyev family estate, who began building the Church of the Archangel Michael in the first half of the 19th century. The museum presents various exhibitions, such as Village Life, History from Ancient Times, Military Glory, The Village of Strelets at the Present Stage, and others. In addition, a separate exhibition is devoted to the writers and creators of the character Kozma Prutkov — the Zhemchuzhnikov brothers. The museum also clearly presents the periods of collectivization and industrialization, and the materials displayed on the stands tell about the people who brought renown to the Streletsky region.
