The Selivanovsky District Museum of History and Local Lore was founded in 1979 by Pavel Matveevich Khrenov and members of the history and local lore club of the district Pioneer House. The museum's main tasks are the preservation, study, and collection of museum objects and collections, as well as publishing and educational outreach. It also studies the district's history, culture, and traditions, promotes local achievements, and researches historical and cultural monuments. The museum contributes to the development and preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the Selivanovsky District and provides spiritual support to the local population.
