Sharlyk District Historical and Local History Museum

The Sharlyk District Historical and Local History Museum was established in 1969 and is located in the building of the Cultural and Leisure Center. It presents the life and history of the district up to the beginning of the 20th century, the establishment of Soviet power in the region, outstanding people who left their mark on the history of their native land, as well as participation in the Great Patriotic War and celebrated local heroes. The museum has more than two thousand exhibits, and various events dedicated to commemorative and anniversary dates are also held. Especially popular are the tours 'Along the Roads of War' and the Alley of Heroes, where visitors can learn about the feats of the Heroes of the Soviet Union and those honored for Labor Valor. The museum's goal is to foster patriotic feelings and love for one's small homeland among the younger generation.
