About museum

On May 8, 1985 the museum was opened, featuring exhibitions of ethnography and military glory in two halls. The Ethnography Hall displays paintings, household items from the 19th–20th centuries, national costumes, and materials about famous Mordovian cultural figures, teachers, and honorary citizens of Romodanovo. The Hall of Military Glory presents information about Heroes of the Soviet Union, full recipients of the Order of Glory, and participants in the Great Patriotic War and the Soviet–Afghan War. The exhibited items make up only 20% of the total collection, but they have great historical and spiritual value and are constantly updated.
