The District Historical and Local History Museum named after Hero of the Soviet Union Dmitry Sergeyevich Rakshin was founded in 1999. For several years it was moved from one building to another, but in 2015 it finally received a permanent location in the former film distribution building, which was fully renovated. The museum has three halls: Labor Glory, Military Glory, and Ethnography. Its collections hold 1,235 items, including archaeological objects, weapons from the 18th–20th centuries, household items from the 19th–20th centuries, as well as items related to hunting, fishing, beekeeping, etc.
