Puchuzhsky Museum
About museum
May 9, 1980 was the opening day of the Puchuzhsky Local History Museum, which had previously been a school local history museum. It is currently housed in the building of the former Church of Saints Peter and Paul, built in 1788 (or, according to some sources, in 1698), and converted into a school in the 1930s. This building is a historical monument of 17th-century wooden architecture. The museum's collection comprises more than 3,000 items. One of its halls is dedicated to the history of Puchuzh painting, as well as the biographies of its founders. Visitors can also take part in a master class and receive a small souvenir as a memento.
