Podolsky Historical and Local History Museum
About museum
On April 15, 1976, at a meeting of the board of the Karl Marx collective farm of Krasnogvardeysky District, Orenburg Region, a decision was made to establish a museum in the village of Podolsk. The founder of the museum was appointed A. G. Chibileva, and the former kolkhoz administration building was allocated for collection activities. In 1985 the museum was granted the title "People's" and became a scientific-research and cultural-educational center. Today the museum is a place where one can learn about the culture and everyday life of the peoples of Krasnogvardeysky District, as well as about collectivization, archaeology and the geology of the Orenburg region. The museum hosts various events, including tours, lectures, museum hours, exhibitions, evenings, seminars and consultations, as well as educational classes on the history of the district.
