About museum
On November 7, 1987, at the initiative of the district party committee, as well as the district Komsomol committee, the "Poisk" club of the Poddorskaya and Belebelkovskaya schools, the Council of Veterans of the 1st Shock Army, the 4th Guards Airborne Division and the Leningrad Archive of the Partisan Movement, the Poddorsky Museum was opened. In 1989, on the 45th anniversary of the liberation of the district from the Nazi invaders, the museum was awarded the title "Veteran of the 1st Shock Army." It was housed in the building of the former forestry office, and later the State Bank, with a plaque reading "Museum of the History of Poddorye and Poddorsky District." The museum's exhibition consists of three sections: a peasant izba of the 18th–19th centuries, the history of the village of Poddorye and the district in the pre-revolutionary period, and the period of the establishment of Soviet power and the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945).
