About museum

On June 28, 1979, the Labor Glory Museum of the Vyatskiye Polyany Order of Lenin Machine-Building Plant "Molot" was opened to promote the achievements of the machine builders and to acquaint young people with the history of their native enterprise. Petr Alekseevich Zagumennov, the first museum director, and Galina Arsenyevna Treshcheva, head of the scientific and technical information department, actively participated in the project. In 2020 the museum was merged into the Vyatskiye Polyany Historical Museum. It houses more than 2,500 exhibits, including the legendary "Vyatka" motor scooter, dedicated to the history of the formation and development of VPMZ "Molot".
