Here you can learn about the history of navigation on the Yenisei and about the lives of the people who took part in that movement. This place is a center of memory — of the past and the future. The unique steamship 'A. M. Sibiryakov' is an important historical and technical monument. It was built in 1886 and belonged to the well-known Siberian industrialist A. M. Sibiryakov. At the time it was the fastest and most comfortable steamship on the Yenisei. It could accommodate between 150 and 200 passengers. In 1897 V. I. Lenin and his associates G. M. Krzhizhanovsky and V. V. Starkov traveled on this steamship to Minusinsk. The ship hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions dedicated to the history of the vessel itself, as well as to the history of navigation on the Yenisei and the lives of the people involved in that movement. The steamship 'A. M. Sibiryakov' is an important historical and technical monument of great national significance.
