L. N. Tolstoy Park of Culture and Recreation
About museum
In 1947 a cultural and recreational parkland was established northeast of Khimki station, named after Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy. The parkland was acquired from engineer Dubyago, who used to visit the famous writer's dacha. Today the park covers 26.4 hectares. Visitors can see a monument to Tolstoy, a fountain, a covered stage, amusement rides and sports grounds. In the park's quiet corners you can spot birds and squirrels. In recent years the park's attendance has risen sharply thanks to various holiday events and programs for all age groups.
