Scientific and Technical Museum named after I.P. Bardin
About museum
In 1933 the Scientific and Technical Museum named after Academician Ivan Pavlovich Bardin was founded; it was originally called "Kuznetskstroi." It is a member of the Association of Scientific and Technical Museums of the Russian Committee of the International Council of Museums and has participated in the program for ranking monuments of science and technology since 2007. The museum houses a complete collection of models on the history of metallurgy, as well as a unique diorama of the construction of "Kuznetskstroi" in October 1931, created by Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR N. Kotov. During visits, guests can obtain detailed information about the legendary enterprises (the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Combine and the West Siberian Metallurgical Combine) and their modern successors — JSC EVRAZ and JSC EVRAZ ZSMK. Interactive tours of the production halls are also offered, where the operation of unique models is demonstrated. The memorial study of Academician I.P. Bardin, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the RSFSR, is presented with equal interest.
