Lenin Komsomol Park
About museum
Komsomol Park is a green oasis in the city center covering more than four hectares. The first trees were planted in 1960 by hardworking Komsomol members who were not afraid to work in the rain, in the dark, and even at night. The park contains rare species of trees and shrubs such as small-leaved elm, Amur maple, horse chestnut, Thunberg's barberry, holly-leaved mahonia (Oregon grape), gordovina, Kuril tea, boxwood, and spindle (euonymus). Today, Komsomol Park features wide paths, shady alleys, children's playgrounds, a sports ground, historical monuments, floral displays, and the oldest fountain in the city. It is a central attraction of the city and draws the attention of both children and adults with its beauty. Therefore, Komsomol Park is a must-visit for all visitors to the city.
