Apatity City Palace of Culture named after V.K. Yegorov
About museum
Since 2000, the Apatity Palace of Culture named after V.K. Yegorov has included a department of decorative and applied arts located on the building's second floor, where the Museum of Labor Glory and a library are housed. This unit offers a variety of services, including exhibitions and guided tours, and works with clubs, amateur associations, artists, city and regional craftsmen, collectors, and photographic artists. Two amateur associations operate here: the "Gallery 'M'" (leader — Igor Klyushkin) and the "Children's Gallery" (leader — Ksenia Kolobova), as well as the "Sintez" club (leader — Lyubov Kutseva) and the visual arts studio "Etude" (leader — Marina Borisova). Excursions and individual visits to the halls of the local history and lore exhibition are held here; it is the only place in the city where one can fully learn about the city's history through objects and photographs. The division's services are popular among residents of various social groups and ages.
