Noginsk Museum and Exhibition Center on Rogozhskaya Street

About museum

A branch of the Noginsk Museum and Exhibition Center opened to visitors in June 1999 in the historic building of the former postal station of the county town of Bogorodsk (Noginsk). It was the first stop after Moscow on the Vladimir Tract. The postal station was opened on June 6, on the 100th anniversary of A. S. Pushkin. During his trips to Boldino he changed horses at this station. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of the Vladimir Tract, the history of the postal station and events connected with it. It features household items from the late 19th–early 20th centuries, a collection of everyday objects and ethnography, clothing from the late 19th–early 20th centuries, and postcards. A video program tells about the Vladimir Tract and historical events, and about the everyday life of the townspeople of Bogorodsk. In addition, events dedicated to the memory of A. S. Pushkin are held here, including thematic museum exhibitions, master classes, interactive tours, screenings of educational films, and the Pushkin Readings project, which began operating in 2016. On that day prose by A. S. Pushkin is read aloud in the hall.
