National Museum of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic
About museum
The National Museum of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is an extensive repository of historical materials that enables the reconstruction of the history of the republic's indigenous peoples from ancient times. The museum has seven permanent exhibition halls and three exhibition rooms. The museum houses six collections, including archaeology, ethnography, precious metals and weapons, fine art, and a photographic archive. The museum's exhibits are professionally curated; they are often displayed not only in the museum and its branches but also in other museums across the country. The ethnographic collection is of particularly high value; items from it have been taken outside the Republic multiple times and have elicited admiration. The National Museum of the KBR is an integral part of the history of the North Caucasus and of the entire Russian state.
