Noyabrsk Museum Resource Center
About museum
The Museum Resource Center was opened in December 2001 and consists of five divisions: the Museum of Fine Arts, the City History Museum, the Children's Museum, the Museum of Military Glory, and the City Center of Crafts. It offers a variety of educational, outreach, and cultural-leisure programs. Exhibitions and displays are designed and created based on its own collections, using multimedia technologies. It also holds children's art competitions and exhibitions, and hosts events for local artists and craftsmen. The Resource Center receives social grants, participates in and wins competitions. Various creative workshops operate on its basis. For children there is a museum laboratory, a playroom (igroteka), an anti-café and the program 'My Friend — the Museum'. The center runs themed and developmental classes, tours, lectures, master classes, and city overview excursions. The museum has more than 29,858 storage units.
