Aseev Estate Museum Complex
About museum
On September 27, 2014, on the occasion of the Tambov Region's birthday, the ceremonial opening of the Tambov Regional State Autonomous Cultural Institution 'Aseev Estate Museum Complex' was held. Before the Revolution the house belonged to the well-known manufacturer, philanthropist and public figure M. V. Aseev, who was granted hereditary nobility in 1915. The house was built to a design by Moscow architect L. Kekushev in 1905 and executed in the Art Nouveau style. The facades and interiors of the rooms astonish with their originality, unconventionality, beauty and grace. The first floor contains the main vestibule, cloakroom, fireplace room, anteroom, reception room, Aseev's study, sitting room, small drawing room, billiard room and formal dining room. On the second floor there is the Column Hall with a glass dome in the center. All interiors have been carefully restored and renovated. A permanent museum exhibition is also located here. The Aseev Estate is a true architectural monument representing the history and culture of the Tambov Region.
