Museum and Exhibition Center of the Kostroma Museum-Reserve
About museum
The Museum and Exhibition Center of the Kostroma Museum-Reserve is located in a wooden manor house built in the mid-19th century. On December 10, 2016, the building was opened to the public. The center was established to promote creative exchange, carry out collaborative projects, and present the heritage of the folk culture of the Kostroma region. The center provides all necessary facilities for theatrical performances, interactive programs, and exhibitions. Temporary exhibitions of works by masters of folk and applied arts are held here. Currently the center hosts a permanent exhibition, "The Tale of Lost Time", where visitors can see antique dolls from different eras and countries of origin. Historical documents and objects related to the region's history and culture are also on display. The Museum and Exhibition Center also offers lectures and master classes.
