About museum
Unique architectural ensemble of the Museum and Church Complex of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has at its center a majestic symbol of Victory — the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, whose rector is Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'. In addition, the complex includes the multimedia museum 'Road of Memory', the open-air exhibition 'Field of Victory' and the sculptural composition 'To the Mothers of the Victors'. The cathedral was erected in a record short time — in one and a half years — for the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory over the Nazi invaders; it is also the third-tallest church in Russia, its height including the cross is 96 meters. In the 'Road of Memory' museum visitors can relive the heroic path of the Soviet people from the first day of the Great Patriotic War to Victory Day, viewing 35 halls and 26 galleries, 3 cinemas and more than 8,000 exhibits.
