On June 2, 2008, in the settlement of Lenina in the Sovetsky District of Kursk Oblast, the museum of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Klykov (1939–2006), an outstanding sculptor and public figure, was opened. The museum's exhibition presents personal belongings and models of monuments, as well as photographic documents donated by the sculptor's family. The museum's aim is to perpetuate the memory of V. M. Klykov, to acquaint people with national culture, patriotic ideas and the humanitarian heritage of the history of art, and to awaken the creative abilities of young people. V. M. Klykov was the initiator and participant of many initiatives, including the Congress of Slavic Cultures, the All-Russian Cathedral Movement, the Congress of Slavic Peoples and others. The museum organizes events, lectures, guided tours, celebrations, master classes, exhibitions and other activities. The V. M. Klykov Museum serves as a place for aesthetic and spiritual interaction among visitors and residents of the settlement.
