Museum "Estate of the People's Artist of the USSR A. A. Plastov"
About museum
In 1988 a memorial-documentary museum dedicated to Arkady Alexandrovich Plastov was opened in the village of Prislonikha in the Karsunsky District. Prior to that, research, discussions and reflections on the museum project continued, as well as the planning of protected natural zones for the architectural-landscape reserve. The museum's exhibition is located in the administration building of the M. I. Kalinin collective farm, where Arkady Alexandrovich worked for several years as a clerk of the village council and secretary. The museum regularly hosts exhibitions of A. A. Plastov's works from the collection of the Ulyanovsk Regional Art Museum and from the Plastov family collection presented by Arkady Alexandrovich's grandson, Nikolai Nikolaevich Plastov. On display are large artistic photographs of fellow villagers, Arkady Alexandrovich and his friends, taken by his son Nikolai Arkadyevich Plastov (1930–2000). You can also view A. A. Plastov's working albums filled with his drawings, sketches and notes of mind and heart.
