G. V. Yudin Estate Museum
About museum
On December 2, 2014, the ceremonial opening of the G. V. Yudin Estate Museum (the former V. I. Lenin Memorial Museum) was celebrated. The focus of the new exhibition 'G. V. Yudin's Library. History. Fates. Traditions' was the famous legacy of Gennady Vasilievich Yudin. The library was considered one of the largest private book collections in pre-revolutionary Russia, but it found no buyers in Russia and was sold to the United States. The museum features an exhibition of works by A. P. Zolotukhin, 'The Little Train from Childhood', as well as a section devoted to the exiled Decembrists who lived in Krasnoyarsk and other towns of the Yenisei Governorate. In addition, the estate museum includes the Library of Russian Museums, under the patronage of the Union of Museums of Russia and ICOM Russia. The estate is located in the historic Krasnoyarsk neighborhood called 'Tarakanovka'. Thus, the G. V. Yudin Estate Museum has become an excellent place for studying the history and culture of Russia.
