About museum

At the Modern Pentathlon Museum visitors are invited to learn about the unique sport created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, which includes swimming, fencing, running, shooting and equestrianism. The museum's exhibition, established with the support of the Russian Olympic Committee and the Moscow Department of Sport, comprises more than 200 exhibits and is housed in the distinctive premises of the Severny sports complex. Visitors can join a free guided tour to learn about the history of modern pentathlon, the specifics of the sport and the numerous world victories of Russian pentathletes. At the end of the tour visitors can take part in fencing and shooting training using modern virtual reality goggles or test their reaction on a special simulator.
