Soviet Era Museum (Rybinsk)
About museum
Located on the grounds of a 1941 building is a three-story structure with fifteen halls, as well as a USSR sculpture park. It houses a 125-year-old railcar with an interior exhibition and a German railway platform from the Great Patriotic War. The Soviet Era Museum has twice been a finalist of the President's platform in the tourism industry. Baltic-style architecture from 1939 also surrounds the museum. Here visitors can take interactive tours, participate in quest games, watch documentaries in the cinema hall, and visit permanent exhibitions such as the USSR Cinema Hall, Soviet Canteen, Party Official's Office, the Symbols of the Soviet Era hall, the Communal Apartment exhibition, and the Toys of My Childhood room. The museum is developing and successfully promoting itself in the tourism industry by expanding its collections, organizing quests, reconstructions and photoshoots, renting out premises and costumes, and holding cultural events.
