Krylovsky Historical Museum

\r\nOn May 9, 1990, the Krylovsky Historical Museum was opened. It was established by Vera Antonovna Zhosan, a teacher of history, Russian language, and literature at Krylovskaya Secondary School No. 2. She is the author of the book 'Essays on the History of the Krylovskaya Stanitsa', published in 1984. The work to create the museum was continued by members of the school's 'Young Historian' club and by local residents who donated household items, books, documents, photographs, etc. On May 10, 1979, the District Committee of the CPSU issued a decision to create a museum council, chaired by V. A. Zhosan. In 1984 the Krylovsky District Council of People's Deputies decided to open a historical museum, and Maria Mikhailovna Derdunova became its director. The museum's opening was held in honor of the 45th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. In 1991 the museum became a cultural and educational institution, and for the 200th anniversary of the Krylovskaya stanitsa the book 'Essays on the History of the Krylovskaya Stanitsa up to 1917' was published. Over the years the museum has enjoyed great respect among the local population.
