The Museum of the History of Uray was opened in 1981 and was established thanks to contributions from the residents of the city and surrounding villages. Today the museum holds 26,783 items presented across 10 collections. The museum features a permanent exhibition that introduces visitors to the history of the city's development. There are six educational programs for children. The museum also offers off-site excursions, lecture services, an exhibition hall, and an on-site exhibition.
