S. I. Taneyev Museum in Dyutkovo
About museum
The village of Dyutkovo is one of the most picturesque places in the Zvenigorod area. Here, in one of the houses preserved to this day, he lived at his dacha from 1908 to 1915, and on 6 (19) June 1915 the well-known Russian musician—composer, pianist, scholar and teacher Sergey Ivanovich Taneyev—died. In 1990 the S. I. Taneyev Museum was opened in Dyutkovo. At present its main collection comprises more than 10,000 items, and the research and auxiliary holdings about 5,000. The museum house contains an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of S. I. Taneyev. Here you can see Taneyev's personal belongings and those of his family members, photographs, documents, images, books and musical scores. Visitors come to the museum to feel the coziness and authenticity that evoke memories. Guided tours, exhibitions, concerts and musical-poetic performances are held here. Every year in June the Taneyev Music Festival takes place.
