About museum

The Sokolniki Park Museum was established in 2015 to restore and preserve the memory of the history of Sokolniki and the entire neighborhood. It tells how Sokolniki became a place of recreation for Muscovites of all generations — from tsars and millionaire dacha owners to Soviet workers and modern city dwellers. The museum conducts research into Moscow's leisure culture and invites park visitors to take part in reconstructing Sokolniki's history by donating antique items to the museum and sharing stories about the area's past.
