Nabat Memory Museum, Mozhga
About museum
Museum 'Nabat Memory' was opened in 1967 at the initiative of S. P. Goroshnikova (1928–2015), an honored cultural worker and honorary citizen of the city of Mozhga. Since 1965 she began collecting materials about the Great Patriotic War. The museum hosts the exhibition 'Buchenwald Alarm', which presents unique exhibits: personal belongings, photos and written documents, and memoirs. The museum also has the hall 'Mozhga Residents in the Battles for the Motherland', displaying materials about fellow townspeople: documents, photographs, personal items, literature, and relics. All items were brought by scouts from the battle sites. The museum also features the exhibition 'In the Ranks of the Winged', dedicated to fellow townsmen aviators. The museum's collections contain information about participants of the Great Patriotic War, as well as items found on battlefields. Here visitors can gain an understanding of the victims of the war and feel deep admiration for their feats.
