Seafarers' Museum
About museum
Totma Seafarers' Museum is not only a wonderful place for recalling the past, but also an interesting tourist attraction that draws curious visitors from different countries. The Seafarers' Museum was opened in Totma in 1996 in honor of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Navy. The reason for the museum's establishment is connected with the Vkhodoierusalimsky Church, built with funds from Totma merchant-seafarers Petr and Grigory Panov. In the museum you can learn the history of the Russian Navy from Peter to the present day, and also learn about the voyages of Totma seafarers in the second half of the 18th century. The museum contains halls dedicated to our contemporaries, and offers guided and interactive programs. In summer the exhibition hall and the bell tower are open to visitors. The Totma Seafarers' Museum is an interesting place for curious tourists from various countries.
