Great Patriotic War 1941–1945 Memorial Museum
About museum
In 2005, a Great Patriotic War memorial museum was opened in the Kazan Kremlin, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory over Germany. This architectural monument is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site and features an exhibition made up of thematically arranged halls. The first hall tells about the outbreak of the war; the second — about the divisions and units formed on the territory of Tatarstan; the third — about the heroes who took part in the war; and the fourth displays exhibits found by search teams at battle sites. Thus, the museum is a historical monument intended to commemorate and honor the Great Patriotic War.
