Maryevo Local History Museum

About museum

The Maryevo Local History Museum was opened on January 6, 1998, and in 2007 received the status of a municipal cultural institution. During this time it earned the title "Best Museum of the Novgorod Region." Today the museum consists of five halls, each filled with unique exhibits and presenting rich material. It is aimed at the patriotic education of the younger generation, fostering a sense of pride and love for their native history. In 2018 the museum took part in an all-Russian competition and was recognized in the category "Best Museum of a Rural Settlement." It is accessible to the entire population and serves as a valuable source of information about the history of the homeland.
