Museum of the commander of the cruiser 'Varyag' V.F. Rudnev
About museum
The museum is dedicated to the heroic deeds of the crews of the cruiser 'Varyag' and the gunboat 'Koreets' during the Battle of Chemulpo in the Russo-Japanese War. It displays unique exhibits, including items from the family of Rear Admiral V.F. Rudnev, as well as a camera by the firm 'Pete' and a toiletry kit with accessories. The museum also presents fragments of the cruiser 'Varyag' and a fan that belonged to Vsevolod Fedorovich's wife. The exhibition space comprises two halls. Nearby is the grave of V.F. Rudnev. Not far from the museum is Rear Admiral Rudnev's house, and locally the site of his estate is called Rudnevskaya Glukhusha. Memorial events are held at the museum annually. To get to the museum, take a bus from Tarusskaya station on the 'Zaoksky-Rusyatino' route to the 'Savino' stop. Ramps are installed in the museum.
