About museum

Knyazhiy Dvor Museum was opened in 2013 and is part of the Pavlovo-Posad Museum and Exhibition Complex. It is located in the settlement of Bolshiye Dvory between Vladimir and Moscow. According to chronicle records of the 10th–12th centuries, the camp of Prince Daniil of Moscow stood here, surrounded by a strong fortified palisade and watchtowers. The settlement's population was tasked with providing for the everyday needs of the prince and his retinue. The museum features various exhibitions: "Hunting Traditions of the Kunya Volost", "Everyday Life of Ancient Rus'", "The Historical Battle at the Vokhna River", "History of Pavlovo-Posad Textile Industrial Enterprises", "Literary Pavlovsky Posad", "A Thousand and One Pigs", "History of Cinematography of the Moscow Region". The site hosts gastronomic festivals, themed interactive programs, and master classes that provide unforgettable experiences for visitors.
