Museum of Tractor History

About museum

Russia can boast the only scientific-educational and public outreach center dedicated to tractor manufacturing — the Museum of Tractor History. It was opened on October 29, 2011, in Cheboksary and occupies an area of more than 1,500 square meters. Here you can see over five hundred collectible tractor models from the early and mid-20th century, as well as more than five thousand rare items. Throughout the museum you can explore various sections of the exhibition: 'From the Plow to Self-Propelled Devices', 'The History of the Tractor from Steam Engines to Powerful Diesels', 'The Development of Domestic and Foreign Tractor Manufacturing', 'Manufacturers of Industrial, Forestry and Agricultural Tractors', and 'The Tractor of the Future'. Visitors to the museum will see more than 50 rare wheeled, tracked, industrial and skidding tractors, many of which are operational.
