In the former building of the Gamskaya two-class school, built in 1901 to the design of architect Druzhinin, on October 28, 1996 the Museum of the History of Public Education of the Ust-Vym District was opened. It is noteworthy that the building was constructed in just three months and did not contain a single nail.
