The Altai Museum of the History of Medicine was opened on December 17, 1993, in a two-story building constructed in 1948. The total area of the premises is 1,007 sq. m., including collection storage - 71.7 sq. m., and temporary exhibition area - 46 sq. m. The museum houses more than 2,500 exhibits, including ancient and modern medical instruments, medical books, and other items. The museum hosts exhibitions, lectures, conferences, and seminars, and conducts educational outreach devoted to the history and development of medicine. The museum is not only a place to study the history and development of medicine, but also a venue for the exchange of ideas and knowledge between professionals and enthusiasts of medical history.
