The Museum of the History of Irkutsk State Pedagogical University has existed since January 1, 1974, and engages in non-profit activities in the field of history. The staff includes one employee. The museum's exhibition is organized according to the historical stages of the institute's development, and its collections consist of documents that characterize the university's work, as well as personal files, awards, greetings, letters, and photographs. In addition, the museum organizes excursions for schoolchildren and uses archives transferred by the university. They assist students and teachers in preparing reports, seminars, and in writing course papers and theses. The Museum of the History of Irkutsk State Pedagogical University operates as a non-profit institution specialized in history; it does not aim to generate profit and does not distribute it among participants.
