Museum of the History of the Town of Kola

In 2015 the young Museum of the History of the Town of Kola was founded in Murmansk Oblast; Kola is the oldest town on the Kola Peninsula. In September 2020 it received its own building. At present the museum's collection comprises 522 items, of which 470 are primary. The collection includes household items, ethnographic objects and examples of decorative and applied arts. The permanent exhibition is devoted to the history of Kola from the 16th to the early 20th century, as well as to features of the everyday life and customs of the local inhabitants. In addition, temporary exhibitions are held from time to time.
