\n\nThe museum is dedicated to the history of Jews in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. Large Jewish communities lived in those countries, and in this museum you can view traditional Jewish culture, charitable activities, aspects of daily life, religious rules, etc. You can also learn about relations between Jews and wider society and the authorities, their contribution to the development of the economy, culture and science, land management and attempts to create Jewish autonomy in the USSR. The exhibition consists of authentic items presented according to the Jewish commentarial tradition. Based on these exhibits, museum visitors can see a past reality.
