On May 24, 2018, the first Museum of Shadows in Russia and Europe opened in Saint Petersburg. The museum's founders — graduates of Saint Petersburg State University — saw a mysterious work in the style of shadow art on the Internet and decided to study this direction in more detail. It turned out that there was no such museum in either Russia or Europe. The museum hosts the exhibition "Shadows of Petersburg", which features contemporary art objects in the style of shadow art. Here you can see the mysterious shadows of a multifaceted Petersburg, of Peter I, a griffin, Pushkin, Gogol and others. Visitors to the museum have the opportunity to develop creative thinking, discover new images in everyday life, and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of light and shadow. The ticket price includes: a guided tour, tea/coffee, the opportunity to create a piece yourself, an interactive area, and a visit to the secret room.
