About museum

In 1992 the exhibition hall "People's Gallery" was opened; it belongs to the Department of Visual and Decorative Applied Arts of the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution "State Russian House of Folk Art named after V.D. Polenov." Its purpose is to acquaint the public with the work of the best Russian masters of decorative and applied arts and amateur artists. It hosts exhibition presentations, master classes, author's evenings, and creative meetings. Entry to the gallery-club is by prior arrangement (inquiries at the phone numbers provided). The hall is not equipped for people with disabilities and persons with limited health capabilities, except for those with hearing impairments.
