Toy Museum of Veliky Novgorod
About museum
The museum is located inside the Church of the Myrrh-Bearing Women, built in 1508-1510 from bricks of various sizes. In the 16th and 18th centuries it burned several times, and during World War II it was partially damaged. In the 1950s–1960s the monument was restored in the 16th-century style. Each exhibition complex is presented as a "house" containing toys from different periods, themes, and types. The toys take part in role-playing scenarios, and the infographics, labels, and texts are aimed at children. A distinctive feature of the exhibition is its Novgorod character.
