About museum

On May 9, 1997, the Pankley Historical and Local History Museum of F. S. Vasilyev was opened at the initiative of the artist and Honored Worker of Culture of the Chuvash Republic N. L. Yakovlev, with material support from the agricultural enterprise "Udarnik". Yakovlev also became the museum's first director. The museum houses and exhibits a rich collection on the history and culture of the Chuvash people. Its permanent exhibitions include Battle and Labor Glory, local history, ethnography, the hall of composer Fyodor Vasilyev, and a gallery of participants of the Great Patriotic War. In addition, the "Kraeved" local history circle and the "Tivlet" club operate here.
