Izmailovo Kremlin
About museum
Izmailovo Kremlin is a unique center of culture and entertainment, created on the basis of the well-known Vernissage in Izmailovo. The Izmailovo Kremlin is a cozy corner of pre-Petrine Moscow where Russian history and fairy tale blend with modern life!
\r\n
\r\nThe Izmailovo Kremlin hosts city celebrations, fairs and festivals. On the complex's grounds is the Church of St. Nicholas - the tallest functioning wooden church in Moscow (46 m); the famous Vernissage - the largest exhibition-fair of fine, decorative and applied arts, folk crafts and trades, souvenirs and antiques. The Izmailovo Kremlin is a "museum of museums", where in one place you can find: the Museum of the History of Vodka, the Museum of Russian Toys, the Museum of Bread, the Museum of Valenki (traditional Russian felt boots), and the Museum of the History of the Founding of the Russian Navy.
\r\n
\r\nIn the Izmailovo Kremlin the Palace of the Russian Feast has been built (an analogue of the historic wooden palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in Izmailovo), where you can sample traditional dishes of Russia's many peoples; the Wedding Palace No. 5; the wedding agency "Ministry of Joy"; as well as cafés, interesting shops, taverns and banquet halls. Special attention in the Kremlin is paid to children and family leisure. A wide range of original guided-tour, entertainment, educational and developmental programs for children and adults has been specially developed for family recreation.
