Decembrists Museum, Minusinsk
About museum
The Decembrists Museum in Krasnoyarsk Krai — the first and only one of its kind — was opened on August 13, 1997, in the house of Alexander Alexandrovich and Nikolay Alexandrovich Kryukov. The Kryukov house was built before 1823 and is a historic monument under state protection since 1980. The museum presents the exhibition 'Decembrists in the Minusinsk District', as well as a fragment of the living-room interior. General and themed tours are offered here, as well as events from the 'Noble Culture' series. A home theatre and the 'Petersburgite' club are open to visitors. Each year the museum is visited by more than 12,000 people, and in 2017 it celebrated its 20th anniversary.
