Perm is one of the few cities in Russia where you can learn about the history of circus art. It is home to the Museum of Circus Arts, founded in 1995. It preserves traditions that connect different generations of performers and audiences, and its collection contains early posters, rare autographed photographs, performers' costumes, and reviews by Perm journalists. The museum offers guided tours devoted to Russian and international circus artists, themed exhibitions, and regional contests in fine arts, decorative and applied arts, and literary creativity.
