The B. I. Urmanche Museum is the state repository of works and memorial items of the famous painter, sculptor, graphic artist and teacher, People's Artist of the RSFSR and TASSR Baki Idrisovich Urmanche (1897–1990), laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after G. Tukay. It was opened to visitors on February 26, 1999, in a two-story stone mansion with an attic, which is an architectural monument of the 20th century with elements of Art Nouveau. The museum features sections of sculpture, graphics and painting organized according to a historical-chronological principle and reflecting all the main stages of the master's work. In addition, the museum hosts exhibitions, concerts, lectures and master classes. A visit to the museum provides a deeper understanding of the art and life of B. I. Urmanche.
