Museum of Aircraft Designer V. M. Myasishchev
About museum
The museum was created in the house that belonged to the Myasishchev family and in which Vladimir Mikhailovich Myasishchev was born. It is a newly identified cultural heritage site. The museum's opening was timed to coincide with the 120th anniversary of Vladimir Myasishchev's birth on September 28, 2022. A colossal amount of work was carried out: from establishing the museum collections and developing the museum concept to repairing the building and installing the exhibition.

\r\nVisitors can explore 5 exhibition halls: "Family Tree", "The Myasishchevs' Living Room", "Dreams of the Sky", "Study", "Test Pilots".
\r\n
\r\nA tour through the museum — from hall to hall — is a kind of journey through time: it tells when and into what family Vladimir Mikhailovich Myasishchev, an outstanding Soviet aircraft designer, was born; how the Myasishchev family lived in Yefremov — what twists and turns occurred in the family and in the country; how a young man from Yefremov went to study in the capital; how much effort, perseverance and, of course, talent Vladimir Myasishchev had to apply to achieve what he achieved in his profession.
\r\n
\r\nVisitors learn that Vladimir Myasishchev was the chief designer, a professor, a Doctor of Technical Sciences, a recipient of the Lenin Prize, and an Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR. This is how the country valued his colossal contribution to the defense capability of the Soviet Union: the strategic bombers M-4 and 3M remained in service with the Soviet Army for 35 years, and that is just one fact from Myasishchev's biography.

\r\nThe museum features engaging photo areas in the halls of the first and second floors.
